Grace of God

Happy Monday! 🙂

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God

This Monday almost didn’t come for me like it hasn’t for many others. With icy, snow filled roads with no salt truck or plower in sight both myself and my car went through the worst. It was literally ONLY by the GRACE of GOD that I made it through. This is so far from a cliche because as my car stopped parallel to oncoming traffic on the highway with high beams faced my way and cars swerving past God was there. Can you believe not ONE car hit me, even with myself having spun out of control repeatedly. Although my car smashed against the shoulder of the highway which could have released my air bags, I remained there, still and safe. At the time I didn’t know whether it was because I was numb to the entire thing but I felt nothing, no fear, no pain and I realize now that’s because of my faith. I had complete trust in God even though the situation didn’t look good, I knew God is good.

For Grace comes through faith, and that not of ourselves, it is the gift of God; salvation is through faith, not as a cause or condition of salvation, or as what adds anything to the blessing itself. It is the way, or means, or instrument, which God has appointed, for the receiving and enjoying it, that so it might appear to be all of grace; and this faith is not the produce of man’s ability, but it is the free gift of God. It is not of our desiring nor of our deserving, nor of our performing, but is of the free grace of God.

God decided to save me because of my faith.

This week’s Music Motivation song is Grace of God by Sheri Jones Moffett

Lyrics:
I still have peace
I still believe
I can conquer anything
And it still by the grace of God

Still have hope
I’ve come through worse before
I have never walked alone
I’ve been kept by the grace of God

I still have peace
(Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh)
I still believe
(Still believed)
I can conquer anything
(Anything)
And it still by the grace of God

(Still have hope)
Still have hope
I’ve come through worse before
(Worse before)
I have never walked alone
(Never ever)
I’ve been kept by the grace of God

So as long a Jesus reigns
This too shall pass away
Through it all I can say that it’s
(Still by the grace of God)

It’s been a trying last few years
I’ve had to shed many tears
But I would not be standing here
No, If not for the grace of God

Don’t need another cliche
When you’ve had to deal with real pain
Is there a witness that can say?
That it’s still by the grace of God

So as long a Jesus reigns
This too shall pass away
Through it all I can say that it’s
(Still by the grace of God)

For every challenge you face
There’s a way to escape
Don’t let it take away you faith
You’ve come through by the grace of God
(By grace)

  1. I rejoice with you greatly to hear that although you had a close encounter as a result of the weather conditions, that the Lord has given His angels charge over you in keeping you in all your ways: so that did not suffer any hurt. To God be praised. May God bless you!

    Warm regards!
